Vistara-Air India Merger: Passengers will no longer be able to use low-cost airline Vistara for air travel from November 12 or onwards. Actually, Vistara is going to merge with Tata Group's airline company Air India on November 12. For this, approval was received from the Central Government in August 2024 itself.

During this time, Singapore Airlines had said that it has received permission from the Central Government for foreign direct investment in the contract with Tata. In such a situation, from November 12 or onwards, all Vistara flights will be booked through the Air India portal.

Vistara-Air India Merger: Flying Returns Program

After the merger between the two airlines, the Flying Returns Program of Club Vistara and Air India will be merged into one. If (Flying Returns Programme) a passenger already has a Club Vistara account.

All your CV points, tier status and vouchers will be transferred to Flying Returns account. Under this process, your old Club Vistara information will be transferred to the new Flying Returns account.

Validity of complimentary ticket voucher

Let us tell you that the validity of the complimentary ticket voucher which was valid after November 11, 2024, has been extended for the next three months. Whereas, on-demand vouchers which are not issued before the date of merger will be automatically transferred to the Flying Returns account.

Vistara-Air India Merger: Changes in co-branded credit cards

Following the merger of Vistara and Air India, all co-branded credit cardholders will receive Flying Returns points and complimentary ticket vouchers, and will continue to enjoy their existing card benefits.

These benefits can be availed till March 31, 2026. However, keep in mind that any annual subscription will not be renewed after March 31, 2025.
