Marking Mother’s Day in the UAE, Oberoi took to social media to reflect on a time when he felt emotionally overwhelmed despite maintaining a strong public image. He revealed that behind the “brave front,” he was struggling internally.
In his post, the actor recalled turning to his mother for comfort. Sitting beside her, he rested his head in her lap and broke down, asking a question many face during hardships — “Why me?”

Instead of offering sympathy, his mother responded with a thought-provoking perspective. She asked if he had ever questioned “Why me?” during his moments of success, when he was receiving awards and appreciation.
