Vivo T5 Pro India Launch Tipped with 9,000mAh+ Battery

Mumbai, March 27 (Read): Vivo is likely to expand its T-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo T5 Pro next month, according to recent leaks. The upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a high-capacity battery and upgraded specifications, positioning it as a successor to last year’s Vivo T4 Pro.

As per a media report, the Vivo T5 Pro could be priced under ₹35,000 in India. In this price segment, it is expected to compete with recently launched models like the Nothing Phone 4a.

The smartphone is likely to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and could run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box.

For photography, the Vivo T5 Pro is tipped to include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera in its rear setup, with support for 4K video recording. One of the key highlights could be its large 9,020mAh battery, paired with 90W fast charging support.

The report also highlights a growing trend of smartphones featuring 9,000mAh and above battery capacities. Recently, devices like the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G have been launched with a 9,000mAh battery, while some models from Honor and the Realme P4 Power 5G offer battery capacities of 10,000mAh and above.

For comparison, the Vivo T4 Pro, launched in August last year, features a 6.77-inch FHD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and runs on Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15.

The Vivo T4 Pro includes a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 32-megapixel front camera. The device is backed by a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
