These cities of Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Bhopal got the gift of Vi 5G
According to the official press release issued by the company, Vodafone Idea has completed the rollout of its commercial 5G services in three major business and residential hubs of Punjab – Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Patiala. To strengthen its hold in this region, the company is also preparing to make 5G network live in Amritsar by the end of this month.
Additionally, the network has been expanded to new districts in Tamil Nadu, targeting the major industrial belts of South India. Now users of Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Vellore in Tamil Nadu will be able to use Vi’s 5G network. For the users of Central India, the company has also made its 5G connectivity live in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Existing customers of the company in all these cities will be able to experience high-speed internet without changing the SIM.

Impact on general public and way forward
This rollout will have a direct impact on the working people, students and businessmen of these cities, who will now get better downloading and uploading speeds. This update is very important for Mumbai Metro 3 passengers as mobile networks often disappear completely in the underground tunnel, due to which passengers face difficulty in making essential contacts at work or home. Now with the network being live at 16 stations, people will be able to make calls and browse the internet without any interruption even while travelling. Vodafone Idea is also working on plans to upgrade its 5G infrastructure in other tier-2 and tier-3 cities in the coming weeks.
