Volkswagen Offering Big Discounts Of Up To Rs 4.50 Lakh On Tiguan, Taigun And Virtus

Volkswagen dealerships are offering discounts of up to Rs 4.50 lakh this month across the brand’s line-up, with the biggest savings available on the Tiguan R-Line and entry-level variants of the Taigun and Virtus. The offers are valid on MY2025 stock and vary by dealership, city, and vehicle availability.

The Tiguan R-Line attracts the highest total benefit of Rs 4.50 lakh, split into a Rs 3.50 lakh cash discount, Rs 50,000 exchange bonus, and Rs 50,000 loyalty bonus. The SUV is priced at Rs 49 lakh ex-showroom and available as a fully built-up import, which means stock is limited.

Taigun And Virtus Get Over Rs 1 Lakh Off

The Virtus Comfortline manual variant gets the highest discount among the sedan range at Rs 1.26 lakh. The Taigun Comfortline manual is available with benefits up to Rs 1.04 lakh. Both models are being offered with these discounts as Volkswagen prepares to launch facelifted versions later this year.

Higher variants see lower discounts. The Virtus Highline Plus automatic gets benefits up to Rs 1 lakh, while the GT Line automatic variant is eligible for Rs 80,000 off. The Taigun follows a similar pattern, with the Highline Plus automatic getting Rs 1 lakh and the GT Line automatic receiving Rs 80,000 in total benefits.

The top-spec 1.5-litre TSI DSG variants get smaller offers. The Taigun GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport DSG attract an exchange bonus of up to Rs 50,000, while the same variants in the Virtus lineup are eligible for Rs 30,000 as exchange benefit. A scrappage bonus of Rs 20,000 is also available on both models, but it cannot be combined with the exchange offer.

Loyalty And Corporate Benefits Add Up

Beyond the headline discounts, Volkswagen is offering loyalty bonuses of Rs 20,000 across most variants. This is available to existing or past Volkswagen owners. Corporate benefits range from Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 depending on the buyer’s employer tie-up with the brand.

These benefits are not uniform and depend on the dealership, stock VIN, and city. Buyers will need to check with their local dealer to understand the exact breakup and eligibility for each offer. Some dealerships may offer higher discounts on slow-moving stock or specific colour options.

Why The Big Discounts?

Volkswagen reduced the prices of the Taigun and Virtus Comfortline variants by up to Rs 84,000 earlier this month, and dealers are now adding further discounts on MY2025 inventory. Both models are due for a mid-cycle refresh later in 2026, which will bring styling updates and feature additions.

The discount structure is more layered than what some rivals offer. The maximum benefit is only available if a buyer qualifies for exchange, loyalty, and corporate bonuses. A first-time buyer without a car to exchange will see significantly lower savings.
