Volkswagen Taigun Facelift To Mercedes Benz CLA Electric
In March, we saw the launch and unveiling of several new cars and two-wheelers in India. With the new financial year starting in April, we can expect a fresh wave of launches in the market. Models like the Renault Duster, Skoda Kushaq, and Hyundai Exter facelift were introduced in March. In April, we are set to see a mix of SUVs, EVs, and sedans hitting the market.
The first car on this list is the Taigun facelift. Now that Skoda has officially launched its updated SUV, Volkswagen is expected to follow up with the Taigun. The facelift has been spotted testing multiple times, and we already have a fair idea of the changes.
It will feature revised headlamps, grille, bumper, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, and tail lamps on the outside. On the inside, it is expected to offer features like a panoramic sunroof, seat ventilation, rear seat massage function, and a larger 10.25-inch driver display. It will continue to use the same 1.0-litre TSI engine with a 6-speed manual and a new 8-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5-litre TSI will be paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Volkswagen Taigun facelift is expected to launch on April 9, 2026.
MG’s new flagship product for India, the Majestor, was revealed to the public in February. It will replace the Gloster and compete with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner in the segment. It is a feature-loaded SUV that offers a strong mix of premium features and off-road capabilities.

The boxy SUV comes with a massive front grille, LED DRLs, vertically stacked LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps. Inside, it offers premium leatherette upholstery, seats with memory, ventilation and massage functions, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, and more.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an automatic transmission, generating 215 PS and 478 Nm of peak torque. While MG has not officially confirmed a launch date, it is expected to arrive sometime in April.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA is making a comeback in an electric avatar after being discontinued in 2020. The new CLA EV sedan is expected to replace models like the A-Class sedan, EQB e-SUV, and EQA in India. It is based on Mercedes’ MMA platform and will be offered in 200 and 250+ variants.

The CLA EV features a typical aerodynamic Mercedes EV design with a drag coefficient of just 0.21 Cd. It will be equipped with a large 85 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed driving range of up to 792 km. Mercedes-Benz is expected to officially launch the CLA EV on April 24.
After Maruti, Toyota is set to launch its first electric SUV in the Indian market. The Urban Cruiser eBella was unveiled a few months ago and is essentially Toyota’s version of the eVitara, with a distinct exterior design. It will be offered in E1, E2, and E3 variants.

The SUV will come loaded with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a fixed single-pane glass roof, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and ventilated front seats.
It will be offered with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery pack options, delivering a claimed range of 440 km and 543 km respectively. The official launch and pricing of the Toyota eBella are expected to be announced in April.

Last on this list is from one of the youngest brands to enter Indian market, VinFast. They have been testing their three row MPV Limo Green for quite some time now. It looks like they are almost ready to launch the MPV in the market.
When compared to the VF6 & VF7 the Limo Green gets a slightly different and boxy overall desing. This has been done intentionally to create more room for occupants sitting inside. The cabin of the VinFast Limo Green is expected to be minimalistic like the SUVs. It will sport a 10.1-inch or larger touchscreen infotainment system, which would also double up as an instrument cluster. It needs to be seen whether we would get premium features like seat ventilation, electric seat adjustments, and so on.
It will be offered with a 60.14 kWh battery pack that generates 201 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. This setup is expected to offer a claimed driving range of 450 km. The launch of the VinFast Limo Green Is Expected to happen by mid April.
