In a reality show called Dance Deewane Season 3 , Dharmendra once confessed that after watching Chaudhvin Ka Chand, he was smitten by her beauty. In the same show, Waheeda Rehman was shown several photos of actors’ and asked who her crush was at that time. She took none other Dharmendra’s name. Following her confession, the Sholay actor was seen blushing, while his son Sunny Deol, who was also present, smiled at the revelation.

Dharmendra and Waheeda Rehman worked together in six films including Khamoshi, Mann Ki Aankhen, Fagun and Ghar Ka Chirag. Once in an interview with FilmFare (2002), the actress revealed that Dharmendra felt uncomfortable around her. He one said to her, “I love working with you but I cannot do it anymore.” Waheed Rehman known for her professionalism when asked him why than he replied, ‘You always show up on the sets on time and deliver your dialogues accurately.’ Dharmendra on the other hand was rather unprofessional and used foul language on sets. He didn’t like to do that, but that’s how made him secure wide range of roles on-screen.
