Walmart expands sourcing of Indian food brands for US customers

New Delhi, 17 October (Hindustan Reporter). The world's largest retail company Walmart has taken a big decision for the Indian market during the festive season. The company is going to increase the sourcing of popular brand food and snacks products in India. This includes products from Britannia, Bikano, Vahdam, Jayanti Spices and Hyphen. All these products will be available in the American market before Diwali.

The company said in a statement released on Thursday that its move will provide American customers with a diverse range of favorite snacks and food products. The offering includes premium teas, ready to eat and frozen food products, traditional snacks, spices and festival packs.

Walmart said that products from Britannia and Bikano will be available this Diwali, while products from brands like Regal Kitchen and Vahdam are already available to customers in the US.

According to the company, products of Jayanti Spices and Hyphen Foods are also present in Walmart's Great Value brand label. Andrea Albright, Walmart's executive vice president of sourcing, said the company is committed to offering its customers unique and differentiated products. Our target is to increase exports from India to 10 billion dollars by the year 2027. Walmart is the world's largest company by revenue.
