War in Parliament over poisonous air! Priyanka Gandhi will raise the issue of pollution, Bhupendra Yadav will answer on behalf of the government.

Delhi is suffering from pollution. The opposition is attacking the government regarding this and is demanding discussion in the Parliament, on which the government has agreed. There will be a short term discussion on air pollution in Delhi in the Lok Sabha today. Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav will reply on this at 5 pm. This discussion will continue for 4 hours.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will initiate the discussion in the Lok Sabha on the issue of pollution. After Priyanka Gandhi, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj and DMK MP Kanimozhi will speak at number three. Apart from Bansuri Swaraj, Nishikant Dubey and Sanjay Jaiswal will be the speakers from BJP’s side.

According to the information, pollution will be discussed in the Lok Sabha today under Rule 193. Congress and other opposition parties are demanding this discussion and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly stressed on it inside and outside Parliament. Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav will respond to the discussion, which will take place without voting, but is considered important to draw parliamentary attention to issues of vital public interest.

Discussion will be held under Rule 193 of Lok Sabha

The issue of increasing air pollution in the country will be discussed under Rule 193 of the Lok Sabha, in which important topics are considered in the House without voting. During the discussion, MPs from different parties will present their views on the problems related to air pollution, its causes and solutions. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav will respond to the discussion at 5 pm and present the government’s side before the House. The minister will respond to questions, objections and suggestions. The discussion on pollution will last for 4 hours.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, had sought parliamentary discussion to develop a systematic plan to deal with the problem of air pollution. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had assured the leader of the opposition that the government was ready for discussion.

Shivraj Chauhan will answer today on VB-Ji Ram Ji bill

Here in the Lok Sabha, there was a long discussion on ‘Developed India-Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)’ i.e. (VB-G Ram Ji) Bill, 2025 on Wednesday, in which 98 members participated. Lok Sabha was adjourned at around 1:35 pm. The government and the opposition were seen face to face during the discussion on the VB-Jiramji Bill which was brought in place of MNREGA. Both the ruling party and the opposition presented their views on the bill. After this, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 11 am on Thursday. Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will answer this debate today.
