War of words between Anupam Kher and Hansal Mehta, why the controversy over 'The Accidental Prime Minister'?
Anupam Kher vs Hansal Mehta on The Accidental Prime Minister: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is no longer among us. Manmohan Singh breathed his last on Thursday night. His last rites were performed in Delhi today i.e. on Saturday. While on one hand the former PM has said goodbye to this world, on the other hand the film 'The Accidental Prime Minister' made on his life has again come into discussion.
Why did the debate arise?
A debate has erupted between famous actor Anupam Kher and filmmaker Hansal Mehta regarding 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. A journalist Veer Sanghvi made a controversial comment on this film released in 2019, which was also approved by Hansal Mehta. Anupam Kher did not like Hansal Mehta's reaction and he publicly reprimanded Hansal Mehta. What happened next, a fierce war of words broke out between the two.

Veer Sanghvi tweeted
Actually, while sharing a tweet on X platform, journalist Veer Sanghvi wrote that if you want to see the lies related to Manmohan Singh, then you can watch the film 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. This is not only the worst film ever made but also a great example of how the media is used to tarnish the name of a good person.
Anupam Kher surrounded Hansal Mehta
Responding to Veer Sanghvi's tweet, Hansal Mehta wrote '100%'. As soon as Hansal Mehta commented on Veer Sanghvi's tweet, Anupam Kher got angry after seeing it. He said that the hypocrite in this thread is not Veer Sanghvi but Hansal Mehta. He was the creative director of 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. Therefore, 100% written on Veer Sanghvi's tweet shows his double standards. I still have the photos and videos from the shoot.
Hansal Mehta replied
Responding to Anupam Kher's tweet, Hansal Mehta wrote that I admit my mistakes. I made a mistake and don't I have the right? I did my work professionally. But this does not mean that I should defend my own film. What I want to say about brownie points and hypocrisy is that you evaluate others on the same scale as you evaluate yourself.
