Warning of rain with thunder and lightning from Delhi to Rajasthan, IMD’s yellow alert issued in these states

New Delhi: March is about to end, but the mood of the weather still seems to be changing. Amidst the onset of summer, sudden rains and strong winds are both giving relief and surprising to people. Today the weather is going to take a turn again in many states of North India including Delhi, due to which there are indications that the weather game will continue in the coming days also. There are chances of light to moderate rain in the national capital Delhi even today.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert with thunder and strong winds. Today the maximum temperature is likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be between 20 to 22 degrees. Not only this, there is a possibility of rain on March 31 also. The weather will not be completely stable in the beginning of April i.e. from 1st to 4th April. During this period, sometimes sunshine, sometimes cloudy and light rain may continue.

Impact on surrounding states too

The effect of changing weather in Delhi will also be clearly visible in the neighboring states – Punjab and Haryana. There has been a warning of rain with thunder and hailstorm at isolated places in both these states today. There will be a yellow alert with strong winds on March 31. Although the weather is expected to remain clear on April 1 and 2, rain and strong winds may return again on April 3 and 4.

More impact in hilly areas

The impact of weather is more visible in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Orange alert has been issued here for strong winds and rain with thunder. A yellow alert has been issued for April 3 and 4, which makes it clear that the weather will remain unstable in the coming days also. The situation may become more serious in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, where there is a possibility of snowfall along with heavy rain. For this, an orange alert has been issued and a warning has been given of bad weather on 2-3 April also.

Warning in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh also

There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in many parts of Rajasthan today and on March 31. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in eastern and western Rajasthan. Due to western disturbance in the first week of April, light rain may continue in some parts of the state. In Uttar Pradesh too, rain and thundershowers can be seen in many districts today. Although the effect of heat continues in some areas, there are signs of change in the weather once again on April 3.
