The sudden indiscriminate firing during the ‘White House Correspondents Dinner’ organized at the famous Hilton Hotel in Washington has blown away the claims of President Donald Trump’s security. When Trump was present in this high-profile event with his wife Melania and Vice President JD Vance, the entire hall echoed with the sound of gunfire. To save his life, the President had to hide under the table, while fear could be clearly seen on Melania Trump’s face. When this attack took place in the hotel, more than 2600 people including senior journalists and politicians of the country were present there. Dinner was about to begin when suddenly the sounds of gunshots started coming from the room just above the hall. According to eyewitnesses, the entire hotel turned into a battlefield as soon as 4 to 6 loud explosions were heard. Reuters photographer has confirmed that the blasts were so strong that people felt as if a terrorist attack had taken place. The hotel staff and waiters started running out in disbelief, while the guests were forced to hide behind sofas and tables to save their lives.

As soon as the first shot was fired, the Secret Service men sprang into action with lightning speed. It can be seen in the video footage that the security personnel surrounded President Trump without wasting any time and pulled him down from the stage and hid him under a strong table. Top leaders like Vice President JD Vance, RFK Jr. and Marco Rubio were also ordered by security personnel to immediately lie down on the ground. SOS lights started flashing throughout the hall and guests were alerted. Trump was taken out of the hotel in a secure circle. Thankfully, the President and his family are completely safe, but this mistake has given sleepless nights to the security agencies.

During this entire incident, Melania Trump’s reaction is the most discussed. It is seen in the video that just moments before the firing started, Melania was looking worried after seeing something suspicious in the crowd. As soon as the bullets were fired, she was horrified and the security personnel gave her safe cover. A Trump aide later confirmed that the family was safe, but the attack has left Melania and JD Vance’s wife deeply traumatized. Despite this incident, Trump has shown great courage and announced that this dinner will be organized again, so that the message can be given that he is not afraid.
