Watch: Afghanistan’s Rahmat Shah run out in bizarre fashion in third ODI against South Africa

Afghanistan’s batter Rahmat Shah was dismissed in an unlucky fashion in the third ODI against South Africa at Sharjah Cricket Ground. He was run out due to a deflection. Rahmat managed just one run off six balls.

The incident happened on the second delivery of the ninth over of Afghanistan’s innings. South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi delivered a full length delivery to Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

The batter played it straight towards the bowler, who managed to touch the ball before it hit Rahmat.

However, the ball didn’t stopped after hitting the non-striker and went on to dislodge the bails. Rahmat was out of his crease and the umpire gave him his marching order.

Afghanistan batters struggled in the third ODI

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Abdul Malik and Rahmat Shah failed to impress. , Gurbaz struck a well compiled fifty for the hosts. Afghan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi could manage 10 runs.

Gurbaz was dismissed after scoring 89 as Afghanistan were bowled out for 169. Afghanistan are leading the 3-match ODI series 2-0 against South Africa.
