There is absolutely nothing going right for Mumbai Indians right now. Just look at Akash Ambani walking off mid-game and he walked right in front of the dugout and didn’t even look at the players. He literally asked the fans to leave the stadium as well. The lack of unity is… pic.twitter.com/8nplMjRYLN

It was a night to forget at the Wankhede Stadium for the home team after Sanju Samson’s unbeaten ton helped Chennai reach 207 runs. In reply, the home side was bowled out for a mere 104 runs as Akeal Hosein picked up four wickets.
R Ashwin speaks highly about Samson’s century
Former Indian spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin, was in awe after 31-year-old batter Samson scored a match-winning ton against Mumbai. The 39-year-old defended the batter after critics questioned the opener for his strike rate.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said: “CSK have become the king of defence. It is not easy to defend 208 on Wankhede, and they did it. The way they did it, they are back in this IPL now. Many people were discussing whether Sanju played slowly on this wicket, or did not show much intent, but the way he read the wicket was the difference.”
‘There was no batter left after…’ Ashwin on India batter’s 54-ball ton
After starting with a flurry of boundaries in the powerplay overs, Chennai’s opening batter started to bat with more caution. Mumbai’s bowlers had staged a comeback, taking wickets at regular intervals. Despite this, the Kerala born star batted with great maturity to guide his team to a huge total and also register a well-deserved ton.
Further shedding light on the amazing innings, Ashwin added: “It seemed that Sanju could have taken more risks, but no, because he knew that there were no batters behind him. When Brevis, Dube, and Kartik were there, they had the responsibility of attacking the spinners. Sanju was still putting away the bad balls.”
