WATCH: Angry Suraykumar Yadav gives a mouthful to Kuldeep Yadav after Pakistan win, video goes viral
New Delhi: Skipper Suryakumar Yadav, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and spinner Kuldeep Yadav were involved in a flare-up on the ground after India defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in their group-stage clash in the T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday, February 15. India recorded their biggest-ever win against Pakistan in T20Is to book a spot in the Super Eight stage of the tournament.
It was a dominant all-round display from the Men in Blue, who made light work of the Pakistan batting line-up after Ishan Kishan’s cracking 77-run knock powered them to a strong total of 175 runs, batting first in the high-pressure clash. Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya impressed with the ball as India skittled out Pakistan for 114 runs in their chase to secure a huge win.
Following India’s victory, there were unusual scenes on the ground as Hardik and Suryakumar were seen getting angry at Kuldeep. In a video that went viral on social media, Hardik can be seen mouthing a few words at Kuldeep when the duo met during the team’s celebration after India’s victory. Suryakumar then can be seen giving a mouthful to the spinner.
Hardik was clearly unhappy with Kuldeep for dropping an easy catch on the boundary rope. The spinner dropped Shaheen Shah Afridi off Hardik’s bowling in the 18th over of Pakistan’s chase. Hardik was seen making animated gestures after Kuldeep’s wobbly effort. However, it remains unknown why Suryakumar lost his cool on the spinner.
