Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and Research Center in mumbai on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, following a minor brain haemorrhage. According to medical updates shared by Dr Jalil Parkar, who is overseeing his treatment, the 90-year-old writer is currently stable and under close medical supervision. Reports indicated that he was placed on ventilator support as part of precautionary monitoring, while doctors continue to observe his recovery in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Dr Jalil Parkar informed the media that the condition was being carefully managed and described the haemorrhage as minor. However, the public statement regarding ventilator support reportedly did not go down well with the family, who preferred limited medical details to remain private. Hospital sources confirmed that Salim Khan was admitted for immediate observation and continues to receive routine monitoring to ensure stability.
