The new captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Ruturaj Gaikwad, has recently set up some cheeky digs at his rivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) during an event. Just when he was about to address the audience, the microphone malfunction caused a viral moment. The CSK star batter funnily remarks that the mic went malfunction due to interference from RCB, which earned loud laughter and applause among fans present at the event. The microphone was turned off accidentally by the sound team at the event, with the host saying, “How can you turn off Ruturaj’s mic?”
Gaikwad, however, gave a glimpse of his humour by suggesting, “Might be someone from RCB”. A video of this act has gone viral on social media.
Gaikwad was recently seen leading Maharashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, taking his team to an exit in the group stage of the tournament.

..He scored a brilliant 97 in their final group stage game against Services, but had a fairly miserable season overall, with only 193 runs in five group matches.
Now he will raise the flag of Maharashtra in the forthcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, starting December 21. CSK retained Gaikwad as their first pick ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction for Rs 18 crore.
