Watch Real Clip: Uzair Baloch angry with SP Aslam after killing of Rehman Dakait
A short but explosive video posted on X yesterday has ignited fresh conversation about the real-life roots of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. The clip, shared by user @choga_don, juxtaposes grainy 2009 news footage from Lyari with a fiery dialogue scene from the Ranveer Singh-starrer, claiming it proves the film’s portrayal of gangster Uzair Baloch’s vendetta against police officer SP Chaudhry Aslam is “absolutely correct.”
Uzair Baloch was very angry with SP Aslam after killing of Rehman dakait. Here is the real video from Lyari from August 2009.
What Aditya Dhar showed in his movie #Dhurandhar2 is absolutely correct, he wanted SP’s head to hang outside Lyari after playing football with it.… pic.twitter.com/ficqcLYA4x

The 11-second edit opens with what appears to be archival TV news from Karachi. A man in a striped polo shirt, surrounded by a crowd and microphones, speaks angrily to reporters. English subtitles translate his words: “We will go to the High Court, Supreme Court and appeal with Mr. Zardari that he should pay attention towards this case and take action against Chaudhary Aslam.”
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar franchise (the sequel released earlier this year) is an espionage thriller that deliberately mixes real Karachi underworld history with a fictional Indian undercover agent (Ranveer Singh’s Jaskirat Singh Rangi / Hamza Ali Mazari). Sanjay Dutt plays a version of SP Chaudhry Aslam, while Danish Pandor portrays Uzair Baloch. The films draw from Operation Lyari, the gang wars, and the broader India-Pakistan intelligence shadow war — but they are not documentaries.
Dhurandhar 2, officially titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is a 2026 Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar and released in theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026 (with paid previews starting March 18), coinciding with festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid al-Fitr. It serves as the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar and the final part of the duology, following undercover Indian agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi (aka Hamza Ali Mazari) as he delves deeper into Karachi’s criminal underworld for revenge. The film features an ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh in the titular dual role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and others like Danish Pandor, Gaurav Gera, and new additions such as Yami Gautam and Akshaye Khanna in key supporting or antagonistic parts, delivering high-octane action and intense drama in its nearly 4-hour runtime.
