Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC played out a five-goal thriller in the 2024-25 Indian Super League on Wednesday, with Odisha winning the match 3-2 after going two goals down inside the opening 15 minutes.
The match had a bit of everything, but what stood out the most was Bengaluru FC’s second goal, scored by their talisman Sunil Chhetri.
Receiving the ball in the left half-space, Chhetri weaved past not one, not two, but four defenders before placing the ball into the top corner.
He might have retired from international football, but he is still got the goods and has been in sparkling form this season in the ISL with 11 goals.
Interestingly, he is the only Indian in the top five goal scorers, standing tall amidst youngsters.
Safe to say Chhetri is ageing like fine wine and is in no mood to stop anytime soon!
