The question was asked – There’s a great story that you always tell us upon landing in Australia…

“I went to Australia as part of the rest of the World team and the team was picked by Sir Don Bradman who was at that stage, I think the President of the Australian Cricket Board and the one story that I know you enjoy listening to is when we landed in Adelaide and who was there to receive us? Sir Don Bradman. Sir Don Bradman was there to receive us and so he came and met everybody as he and Garfield Sobers who had played for South Australia for quite a while and knew each other quite well. So he was obviously talking to Sir Garfield and you know, they were exchanging notes and then he suddenly said to Sir, ‘Sir Garfield, where is that little fellow from India? I want to go and see him. So Sir Garfield introduced me to him, and he was talking to me about cricket. He was talking to me about Vijat Merchant and just then Zaheer Abbas from Pakistan who was part of the rest of the World team too came along and he joined and those were not the days of selfies of course But there were a couple of photographs taken. So while Zaheer was talking to Sir Don and me, Rohan Kanhai with the rest of the team standing around, called the rest of the team together and said, come, come and he said ‘See that? See That? See those three over there, on the right is the Bombay Bradman, on the left is the Karachi Bradman and in the middle is the real Bradman’.”
