A serious incident of finding water instead of fuel at a petrol pump in Greater Noida has come to light, due to which the administration has started immediate action. A ruckus erupted at a petrol pump in Sector 51 after complaints of water being dispensed instead of petrol. This not only caused inconvenience to motorists, but also questioned the reliability of petrol pump operations. According to reports, many people had filled their vehicle tanks at this pump on Saturday; However, after some distance, their vehicles suddenly stopped, causing great suffering to the common people.

When drivers started their vehicles after refueling, initially everything seemed fine; However, after covering a short distance, the vehicle’s engine suddenly stopped. Meanwhile, about 20 vehicles developed mechanical problems. These affected vehicles started returning to the same petrol pump one after another. Realizing that their vehicles had been filled with adulterated fuel, angry citizens started creating a ruckus at the spot. Investigation revealed that there was water instead of petrol

When the vehicle owners checked their cars, a shocking thing came to light: the fuel tanks contained water instead of petrol, causing the vehicle’s engine to stop working. Realizing the seriousness of the matter, the administrative officers were also called to the spot. The administrative team collected fuel samples from the petrol pump and sent them to the laboratory for testing. After the lab report was received, it was officially confirmed that the petrol had been adulterated with water. District Supply Officer Smriti Gautam said that keeping in mind the seriousness of the situation, the administration has taken necessary preventive action immediately.

What did the authorities say?

District Supply Officer Smriti Gautam explained that the concerned petrol pump has been closed till the investigation is completed. He stated that this was an act of gross negligence; During the investigation, it was found that an underground water pipeline had burst. However, the petrol pump management failed to repair it and this failure has been held to be a serious act of negligence. As a result, in the background of this case, the said petrol pump has been temporarily closed and instructions have been issued to repair the channel immediately.
