The way Puri Jagannadh writes a character, no one can do it like him: Prabhas
Prabhas said that the way Puri Jagannadh writes a character no one in the country can do it like him. He was blown away for his narration of his character in the movie Ek Niranjan.
In a recent interview, Prabhas said that he was blown away by Puri Jagannadh’s narration. He said, “Ek Niranjan is very special to me. The way Puri Jagannadh writes a character no one in the country can do it like him. The way he narrated the character to me, the detailing, the attitude, the emotional layers it was mind-blowing.”
Prabhas added, “When I first heard it, I was actually tense. He had written the character so powerfully that I kept wondering, “Can I really perform this the way he imagined?” I had never done that kind of role before. The characterization was so strong that while shooting, even my way of speaking started reflecting that attitude. That’s the impact of his writing.”
The way Puri design the character and wrote the dialogues, Prabhas felt like he is entering new world. He said, “After Bujjigadu, we did Ek Niranjan, and again the way he designed the character, structured the scenes, and wrote the dialogues it felt like entering a completely different world. Only Puri sir can create that tone. The swag, the emotion, the punch it’s his signature.”

He added, “One of my favorite scenes in Ek Niranjan is the emotional moment where the character breaks down and says, “Do men cry? Yes… anyone would cry in this situation.” Even the villain’s dialogues were very powerful. In fact, one of the dialogues from Ek Niranjan was later used in the Hindi film Dabangg, and Sonu Sood personally called Puri sir to take permission for it.”
He concluded, “That shows the strength of his writing. Honestly, no one can write like Puri Jagannadh. He has his own world and once you enter it, it stays with you.”
