WBJEE 2025 registration begins today; apply by February 23
New Delhi: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will begin the WBJEE 2025 entrance exam registration process from today, The WBJEE application link will be available on the official website of the board at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee/. The last date to fill out the application form is February 23, 2025.
As per the WBJEE schedule, candidates will be able to make changes in the application form between February 25 to February 27. The WBJEE 2025 admit card will be issued by the board on April 17. The necessary credentials which include the registration number and date of birth are required to download the admit card.
The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on April 27 in two shifts. In shift 1 candidates will have to attempt the mathematics paper from 11 AM to 1 PM. Shift 2 is for physics and chemistry which will commence between 2 PM to 4 PM.
WBJEE 2025 eligibility requirements
Those who fulfil the below requirements can apply and appear for the WBJEE exam-
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board in the relevant subject.
- Candidates must be an Indian citizen and domicile of West Bengal
- The age of the candidates needs to be 17 years of age on December 31, 2025. For the Marine Engineering course, the upper age limit is 25 years as of December 31, 2025.
WBJEE entrance exam will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test for a duration of four hours. Paper 1 (mathematics) will be for two hours and paper 2 (physics and chemistry) for two hours. There will be a total of 155 multiple-choice questions. The question paper is divided into three categories. The questions in category 1 will carry one mark each, while questions in categories 2 and 3 are of two marks each. The will be negative marking for the wrong answers.
For admission into engineering, technology, pharmacy and architecture courses at universities, government colleges and self-financing engineering and technical institutions in West Bengal candidates need to qualify the exam.
