“We are pirates” This one statement of Trump created a stir all over the world, gave a direct warning to Iran

Washington/Tehran: Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, a recent statement by US President Donald Trump has again intensified the call for war. Trump has indicated that America may once again launch attacks on Iran. Although Iran has sent a peace proposal through Pakistan, Trump is considering it ‘inadequate’. On the other hand, the war over the Strait of Hormuz is now becoming a thorn in the side of the global economy.

Trump’s tough stance: “Iran has not yet paid the full price”

Speaking to reporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said bluntly, “There is every possibility that attacks on Iran will start again.” Trump wrote on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’ that he has received Iran’s compromise proposal, but he is not satisfied with it. Trump believes that this agreement is very small in return for what Iran has done to the world and humanity in the last 47 years. When asked if an attack was imminent, he said cryptically, “I don’t want to say anything right now, but if they do something bad, that option is open.”

Hormuz Strait: A more important issue than the nuclear bomb?

Iran is now considering Hormuz Strait as its biggest weapon. Iranian officials say that controlling this sea route is more important for them than nuclear weapons. Iran plans to collect 30% toll tax from ships passing through this route, which will be used to strengthen its military. The Iranian military has made it clear that no ship—be it friend or foe—can pass through there without their consent. According to US Centcom, 48 ships have had to change their route in the last 20 days due to Iran’s blockade.

“We are like pirates”

Trump spoke openly on the actions of the US Navy during a rally. He told how a US destroyer seized an Iranian ship in the Gulf of Oman after firing at it. Trump said in a very frank manner, “We captured the ship, took its oil and cargo. It is a very profitable deal. We are somewhat like pirates, but we do not consider it a game.” This statement of Trump has sparked debate among legal experts and the international world.

Iran’s peace proposal and the bitter reality of war

Iran has sent a proposal through Pakistan in which it has been said to end the war permanently. Under this proposal, Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz provided America lifts its blockade and guarantees that Israel or America will not attack it again. But the ground reality is scary. Fuel prices are skyrocketing.

Effect of war: American airline went bankrupt

The impact of this tension is now directly falling on the pockets of common people. America’s famous low-cost airline ‘Spirit Airlines’ has gone bankrupt overnight due to doubling of jet fuel prices. Thousands of passengers are stranded and the airlines have no money left to even give refunds. On the other hand, Egypt’s ‘Egypt Air’ has also canceled many of its flights due to security reasons and expensive oil. At present, the eyes of the world are fixed on Trump’s next step – diplomacy or disaster?
