We were making government schools and hospitals better, so we were implicated in a false case and sent to jail: Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi. After resigning from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has reached Janta Ki Adalat at Jantar Mantar today. Addressing Janta Ki Adalat, Arvind Kejriwal said, on 4 April 2011, the biggest movement against corruption in independent India, 'Anna Andolan', started from Jantar Mantar. The government of that time was also very arrogant. That government used to say that try contesting elections. We also contested elections and the public made us win in the first attempt itself and formed the AAP government in Delhi. We proved that elections can be contested and won honestly in the country.

He further said, for the last ten years we have been running the government in Delhi with honesty. We are providing free electricity and water to the public. We are providing buses for women and free pilgrimage facility to the elderly. We are making government schools and hospitals excellent. Troubled by this, Modi ji thought that if he wants to win the election from Aam Aadmi Party, then attack our honesty and hence he implicated us in false cases and sent us to jail. I did not come into politics to earn money but to serve the country and the people and even today I am serving the people.
Along with this he said, I am not a leader, I do not have a thick skin. It matters to me. When BJP people throw mud on me, falsely accuse me, then it matters to me. I have earned respect in my life and today when they accused me, keeping dignity above all, I resigned and now I will leave my government house too. Today I do not even have a house to live in. I have earned the love and blessings of the people in 10 years and because of this love many people are inviting me to stay at their homes. I will leave the Chief Minister's residence after the Shraddha and will start living in the house of one of you people.
Kejriwal further said, Prime Minister Modi kept such Manish Sisodia in jail for two years, if he had been out, how many more schools would have been built, how many more children would have got education. Modi ji has wasted these two years not of Manish Sisodia but of the country. Manish's life is not his but the life of the country. I ask Mohan Bhagwat, every RSS worker, whether such actions are right for the country? All of you must think about it.
