We will have to come out of the mentality of slavery and always keep our heritage and ideas ahead: PM Modi
New Delhi, 13 January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said regarding ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue 2026’ that the process which started with ‘Next Generation Reforms’ has now become ‘Reform Express’ and the youth power of the country is at the center of it. PM Modi said that by coming out of the mentality of slavery, we have to always keep our heritage and our ideas forward. Prime Minister Modi shared some videos of his speech at ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue 2026’.
On Tuesday, he wrote on the social media platform ‘ Reform Express is ready. Our youth power is at the center of this.”
In another post, PM Modi said, “We have to come out of the mentality of slavery and always keep our heritage and our ideas forward. The life of Swami Vivekananda ji also teaches us the same.” Let us tell you that on the occasion of ‘National Youth Day’, Prime Minister Modi participated in the concluding session of ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue 2026’ on Monday. He interacted with about three thousand youth leaders from across the country, including youth representatives of the international diaspora community. The selected participants also made final presentations to the Prime Minister on ten different topics related to key areas of national importance.
In a message addressed to the youth, PM Modi while addressing the program said, “The journey till the year 2047, when we will complete 100 years of independence, is important for India too. This is the time which is most important in your life too, that is, it is a big golden opportunity. Your strength will become India’s strength and your success will definitely take India’s success to new heights.” He called that the country cannot be self-reliant and developed without self-confidence. Therefore, the lack of pride in our abilities, our heritage and our goods hurts us. We need to have a commitment towards it and a sense of pride. We must move forward with great strength and with strong steps, with pride.
PM Modi said that together we have to end this mentality of slavery. Ten years later, Macaulay’s audacity is completing 200 years and it is the responsibility of the generation that there are still 10 years left to wash away the sins committed 200 years ago. This young generation will wash away that sin of Macaulay. And therefore, every youth of the country has to take a pledge and take the country out of this mentality. The Prime Minister suggested to the youth that after some time, we will also go in the direction of starting a dialogue to develop the districts. But there is a program in every state in which the youth of the state come together, so that a think tank, which was said, will become a think web, we should do this in this direction.
