Arms supply to India through Pakistan-Nepal route, Delhi Police busted international arms supply module, 10 accused arrested.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police in the capital Delhi has exposed a big international arms smuggling network. According to the police, the wires of this module are connected to Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh, from where illegal weapons were supplied. During the action, the police arrested 10 accused associated with this gang. A huge quantity of weapons have been recovered from them, which include 21 foreign pistols, machine guns, automatic pistols and about 200 live cartridges. Investigation has revealed that this gang used to supply illegal weapons in different parts of the country in an organized manner. At present, the police is interrogating the accused and trying to find out other members of the network and the supply chain.

According to the police, a large cache of automatic weapons, especially sub-machine guns (made in Czech Republic), have been recovered from the accused. Apart from this, many modern pistols made in different countries have also been recovered, like PX-5.7 (high capacity pistol), Stoeger (Turkey made), PX-3 (China made), Shadow CZ (Czech Republic made), Beretta (Italy made), Taurus (Brazil made), Walther (Germany made). According to police sources, weapons like PX-5.7 are generally used by Special Forces, due to which this The reach and severity of the gang’s network can be estimated.

What did the police say?

Investigation has revealed that smuggling of illegal weapons started from Pakistan and was carried into the country through the India-Nepal border. After this, they were transported to criminal gangs operating in other states including Delhi-NCR. According to the police, this gang was working not only at interstate but also as an internationally organized network, which procured weapons from different countries and supplied them in India.
