Weather Alert: Vidarbha’s Sun’s Fury! Red alert issued for Amravati, Wardha and Chandrapur

Weather Alert | In terms of overall weather in Maharashtra, an important news is coming out. The citizens who have been suffering due to hot and humid weather for the past few days are likely to get some relief today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain at some places on Monday. But in Vidarbha, as usual, the sun is not seen burning literally. A yellow heat alert has been issued in some districts, while rain has been predicted in some places.

Thunderstorm along with lightening and light to moderate rain has been predicted in Pune city. There is a possibility of a sudden change in the weather after afternoon, the temperature may drop and the atmosphere may become pleasant. Along with Pune, the Meteorological Department has issued alert for several districts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. Thunderstorm accompanied by thundershower is forecast in Ahilyanagar, Solapur, Dharashiv, Beed and Latur districts. As there is a possibility of lightning in some places, the administration has appealed to the citizens to take precautions and avoid going out in stormy weather if not necessary.

However, on the other side of the state, the situation is completely different in Vidarbha. The effects of intense heat wave are still here, with temperatures likely to reach dangerous levels in many districts. Apart from this, ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for the districts of Nagpur, Akola, Yavatmal, Bhandara, Gondia and Gadchiroli. In view of the risk of heatstroke, it is urged to drink enough water, eat light food and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

It is being said that due to the contrasting weather conditions in the state like rain on one side and heat on the other side, the citizens must keep an eye on the official instructions of the Meteorological Department.
