An increase in temperature will be seen in all the states from Delhi NCR to Uttar Pradesh and other states. The temperature is falling due to snowfall in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand, where people are facing cold.

Rain warning in many states
According to IMD, rain alert has been issued in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh. There is also a possibility of lightning strike. Because of which people have been advised to be cautious. Apart from these, rain alert along with thunder and lightning has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
There is a possibility of rain in Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand also till February 26 (rain alert). Except for the Himalayan states, at present there is a possibility of onset of summer in the entire country. At the same time, on 24 February 2026, rain alert has been issued in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Telangana. Along with this, a period of drizzle can be seen in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between 26th to 28th February.

There is no possibility of any change in the maximum temperatures of Maharashtra and Gujarat in the next 24 hours. An increase of 2-3 degrees Celsius may be seen in the temperature during the next six days. Some areas of Gujarat may also see a drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature.
Chance of rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands
IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall for Andaman and Nicobar Islands on February 24 and 25. There is also a possibility of lightning and winds blowing at a speed of 30-40 km per hour.
Weather will be bad in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh
According to IMD, light thunderstorm with hailstorm has been expected in Shivpuri, Rewa, Sidhi and Singrauli districts of Madhya Pradesh and in Korea, Surajpur and Balrampur districts of Chhattisgarh.
