Weather Forecast: According to the Meteorological Department, a spell of rainfall is set to resume across several states. The rains are expected to bring much-needed relief to people from the heat. An alert has been issued for Arunachal Pradesh, anticipating heavy rainfall between March 14 and 16. Meanwhile, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal (including Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar) and Sikkim may experience heavy rainfall on March 16.
According to the Meteorological Department, a warning for rain accompanied by thunderstorms has been issued for Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh for March 15 and 16. Furthermore, the department has issued an alert for 18 states—including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan—anticipating rainfall from March 14 to March 19. People have been advised to remain vigilant during this period. Gusty winds, blowing at speeds of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour, are expected during this time.
Storm and Rain Warning for Rajasthan?
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for certain parts of Rajasthan, anticipating gusty winds and light rainfall starting Saturday (March 14). The department notes that a new Western Disturbance has become active over the state. Consequently, skies are likely to remain overcast for the next one or two days. Additionally, an alert for light rainfall has been issued for March 14 and 15, covering the Ajmer, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions, as well as the Shekhawati region, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and their surrounding areas.
Rain and Storm Warning for 18 States
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rainfall accompanied by strong winds in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on March 15 and 16. Furthermore, a rainfall warning has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh for the period between March 15 and 19. Scattered light rainfall may also be recorded in Uttar Pradesh on March 15 and 16, and in Rajasthan on March 14. Thunderstorms accompanied by strong Winds gusting at speeds of 30–50 km/h are likely.
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for March 15 and 16, warning of strong winds accompanied by thunder at isolated places across Uttarakhand. The department has also forecast isolated hailstorms in Jammu & Kashmir–Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on March 15. Furthermore, the Meteorological Department has indicated a possibility of hailstorms in Western Uttar Pradesh on March 16.

The skies are expected to remain clear in Jharkhand on March 14. However, starting March 15, a shift in weather patterns may once again be observed across 20 districts of the state, including Ranchi.
The Meteorological Center in Ranchi has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for these 20 districts, effective from March 15 to March 18.
