Weather patterns changed in Delhi-NCR, rain in many areas; Alert of storm and heavy rain

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky is likely to remain cloudy throughout the day today. Also, light to moderate rain may occur in many parts of the capital. The Meteorological Department says that due to cold winds blowing throughout the day, the temperature will remain below normal.

The main reasons for this change in weather are being said to be two active western disturbances. Due to their influence, the weather of Delhi-NCR along with many states of North-West India is being affected. Due to this, the period of clouds, rain and strong winds continues. Due to rain and clouds, a drop in temperature has been recorded, due to which the effect of heat is being felt less even during the day. Experts believe that this weather pattern may continue for the next few days.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi-NCR on April 7 and 8. This alert means that the weather may be different from normal and people need to be alert. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate winds will blow throughout the day, there will be a possibility of thunderstorm. Light rain may occur in many areas. Behind this change is the effect of active western disturbance, due to which fluctuations are being seen in the weather of North-West India.

Meteorological Department issued warning for these areas

According to the forecast issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) at 6 am, the weather may change suddenly in many areas during the next 2 hours. According to IMD, Delhi’s India Gate, Akshardham, Palam, Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Nehru Stadium, IGI Airport, Vasant Vihar, RK Puram, Defense Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Kalkaji, Mehrauli, Tughlakabad, Chhatarpur, IGNOU, Ayanagar and Deramandi while NCR’s Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in all these areas of Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh and Chhapraula. Winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km/hour, there is a possibility of thunderstorm, there is also a danger of lightning at some places.

Yellow alert issued for 2 days in Delhi

The storm and rain are likely to continue in the capital for the next two days, which will provide relief to the people from the increasing heat. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), yellow alert has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday. During this period, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers along with strong winds.

The Meteorological Department says that due to this change the maximum temperature may drop by about 4 degrees Celsius. Due to this, the effect of heat will be reduced even during the day and the weather will remain pleasant. Meanwhile, on Monday also the temperature of the capital was recorded below normal. According to the data of Safdarjung Observatory, the maximum temperature was 33.3 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees less than normal, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 17.7 degrees Celsius.

Chances of improvement in air also

The effect of changing weather in Delhi is now expected to be visible on air quality also. Due to storm, rain and strong winds, the level of pollution may decline, due to which people can get clean air. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) is classified like this 0 to 50: Good 51 to 100: Satisfactory 101 to 200: Moderate 201 to 300: Poor 301 to 400: Very poor 401 to 500: Severe Weather experts believe that due to rain, the dust and pollutant particles present in the air settle down, while strong winds. By spreading them, they help in cleaning the air.
