Weather: There will be torrential rain in the next 24 hours, stormy winds will also cause trouble

Monsoon has once again become fully active in most parts of the country and has become a disaster in some areas. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain in many states for Wednesday. According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning in many areas of Western Himalayan states, North India, Eastern India, Central India and Northeast. In view of the continuous rains, the administration in many states has been instructed to remain alert. There is also a danger of landslides in hilly states like Himachal and Uttarakhand.

Talking about the capital Delhi, the weather is expected to remain changed in Delhi and surrounding areas today on 22nd July. According to the Meteorological Department, it may remain cloudy throughout the day and there may be light to moderate rain at different places, while heavy rain may occur in some areas. Along with this, there is also a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour and thunderstorms. People are expected to get relief from the heat due to rain.

Rainy season in UP-Bihar

Monsoon activities remain intense in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in many districts of the state. Heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected in many parts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. The districts which may receive rain today include Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Muzaffar Nagar Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Lalitpur, Jhasi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Azamgarh, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.

Apart from this, alert of heavy rain has also been issued for many districts in the neighboring state of Bihar. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Gaya, Buxar, Siwan, Vaishali, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Kaimur, Nawada, Aurangabad, Begusarai, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Supaul, Saharsa, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Khagaria, Bhagalpur and Munger.

Danger increased in hilly states

The weather in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir may remain challenging for the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in many parts of these states. On July 22, there is a possibility of rain in Chamba, Kullu, Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, Kinnaur, Solan, Bilaspur and Kullu of Himachal Pradesh.

At the same time, warning of heavy rain and storm has been issued in Rudraprayag, Haridwar, Nainital, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Almora of Uttarakhand. Alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Kargil, Baramulla, Jammu, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Kathua, Anantnag, Pulwama, Bandipora and Budgam of Jammu and Kashmir. There is a danger of landslides due to rain in these three states.

Weather of other states

There is a possibility of good rain in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and East Rajasthan on Wednesday. Apart from this, forecast of heavy rain has also been issued in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa and Maharashtra. Gujarat and Central Maharashtra may witness havoc due to rain and the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in both these states. According to the Meteorological Department, very heavy rains may be recorded at some places.

Rain continues in the Northeast

Continuous heavy rains continue in Northeast India. Rain activities are expected to continue in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next 24 hours. Warning of heavy rain has been issued at many places. Due to continuous rains, the water level of rivers has increased and there is waterlogging in many low-lying areas. Due to this, people are facing a lot of trouble and according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, people will not get relief at present. Flood-like conditions persist in many parts of North-East India.
