Weather will worsen in these 9 states, IMD issued alert

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain, strong thunderstorm and storm in 9 states of northern and eastern India on Saturday, April 4. According to meteorologists, a new Western Disturbance is going to be active by April 7, due to which this deadly form of weather may worsen further. The states where the threat is greatest include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, there is alert of lightning and strong winds in Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal also.

Delhi-NCR: Weather will change in next few hours

April 4 and 5 can be quite challenging for people living in Delhi and surrounding areas (NCR). The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be a dust storm here at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Due to the possibility of rain and hailstorm, the maximum temperature may fall to 31 degrees. Let us tell you that on Friday also Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 266, which is very bad for health.

‘Orange Alert’ in UP-Bihar: Possibility of hailstorm

‘Orange alert’ has been issued in big cities of Uttar Pradesh like Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut and Jhansi. There is a possibility of not only rain here, but also big hailstorm. Talking about Bihar, there is a big danger of lightning (thunderstorm) between 5th to 8th April in districts like Patna, Gaya and Rohtas.

Outcry from mountains to plains

Heavy rains and strong winds will continue not only in the plains, but also in the hilly states of Himachal and Uttarakhand. There is also a storm alert in Jaipur and Udaipur divisions of Rajasthan. Meteorologists say that the atmosphere has become so unstable due to the combination of moisture coming from the Arabian Sea and western disturbances. Although this is common in the pre-monsoon season, this time the intensity of the winds is very high.

Farmers facing increased problems and safety advice

This unseasonal rain has broken the backs of farmers. Due to the time of wheat harvesting, there is a possibility of huge damage to the standing crop in the fields. The Meteorological Department has advised the general public to avoid going near trees, electric poles or open fields during bad weather. Take special care while driving as visibility may be reduced during thunderstorms.
