During this period, rain, storm and drop in temperature may be seen in many states. Delhi-NCR will remain cloudy on Tuesday with light to moderate rain and thundershowers.
In recent times, dust storms and dense clouds have been seen here, which can now turn into rain. Temperatures are expected to remain below or near normal, which is likely to provide some relief from the heat.
Weather condition in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan
Due to the influence of Western Disturbance in Punjab and Haryana, there is a possibility of light rain, strong winds and hailstorm at isolated places in many areas. The day temperature will be below normal and the weather will be pleasant, but farmers have been advised to remain alert for their crops. The already ongoing storm, rain and hailstorm in Rajasthan is expected to continue till April 7.
Areas like Jaipur, Bikaner, Nagaur will be affected by strong winds and rain. Due to this, the temperature will remain below normal and for now the danger of heatwave has been averted.
Weather in Central and Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh
The weather will be normal in Central India, but some parts may remain cloudy and light rain may occur. Day temperature is likely to be normal or slightly higher. The effect of Western Disturbance will be clearly visible in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain, thundershowers and light snowfall in higher reaches in these states. Travelers have been advised to remain cautious as hilly roads may be affected by slippery and strong winds.
The weather in Gujarat will be slightly cool and partly cloudy around April 7. Temperature will be below normal in many cities including Ahmedabad and light rain may also occur in some areas. The weather in Mumbai and surrounding areas will be slightly cooler than normal and partly cloudy. The Meteorological Department has indicated that this time in April, there is less possibility of extreme heat and the temperature may remain normal or below it.
There is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms and strong winds (30-40 km/hr) over many parts of South India, especially Andhra Pradesh and coastal areas.
The effect of heat wave may also continue in some areas, due to which the weather pattern will be mixed – at some places it will rain and at some places the effect of heat will be felt.
