With the arrival of winter season, the air in the capital Delhi has become poisonous. Due to this people are facing problems. The average AQI here has remained in the very poor category for several weeks. A blanket of light fog was seen in Delhi on Friday. The weather department has predicted that the temperature will remain somewhat warm as the day progresses. Light layer of fog will be seen even during night.

AQI level remained above 400

The average AQI in Delhi was recorded at 362 on Thursday. In most of the areas AQI has been recorded between 300 to 400. AQI level remained above 400 in eight areas of Delhi. The highest AQI was recorded at 422 in Anand Vihar, 431 in Jahangirpuri, 421 in Mundka, while 416 was recorded in Ashok Vihar, 407 in Bawana, 403 in Rohini, 407 in Vivek Vihar, 428 in Wazirpur. 252 AQI was recorded in Delhi NCR city Faridabad, 313 in Gurugram, 303 in Ghaziabad, 273 in Greater Noida and 271 in Noida.

AQI very bad in Delhi

Even on Thursday, the air in the capital Delhi remained in very poor category. The average AQI of Delhi was recorded at 358 at 7.30 am on Tuesday. Since then this level has been increasing. Due to this, the residents here, especially children and the elderly, are facing difficulty in breathing.

Air pollution increased during Chhath Puja

The pollution level has increased in the national capital on Thursday evening during Chhath Puja. Many events are being organized here. People from all walks of life, including children and the elderly, participate in these events. People are facing a lot of problems due to pollution. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 382 on Thursday. The normal temperature here was 31.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than normal.
