Weather Update – Warning Heavy to Very Heavy Rain Alert in 10 States Over Next 24 Hours
Weather Update: Several areas in Delhi-NCR received rainfall on Monday evening, bringing residents some relief from the humid heat. A drop in temperature has been recorded following the rainfall and cloudy skies. Significant rain was observed in Noida’s Sector 63 and surrounding areas, making the weather across Delhi-NCR pleasant. However, waterlogging has been reported in some locations. The Meteorological Department had previously issued a rainfall alert. According to the department, the skies will remain cloudy for the next two days. Additionally, alerts for heavy rainfall have been issued for several states across the country.
According to the latest bulletin from the Meteorological Department, the #Deep_Depression formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and areas near the West Bengal-North Odisha coast have moved very slowly northward at a speed of 3 km/h over the past six hours. It is highly likely to continue moving northward, pass near Sagar Island, and cross the West Bengal-North Odisha coast between Balasore and Canning, near #Haldia, this afternoon (July 27, 2026).
Haryana Weather
• Gurugram: Waterlogging and long traffic jams are likely due to heavy rainfall.
• Faridabad: An alert has been issued for strong winds and rain.
Yellow and orange alerts have been issued for several areas in Haryana and Delhi-NCR in anticipation of rain on July 28.
Uttar Pradesh Weather
• Lucknow: Torrential rain accompanied by thunderstorms is likely on July 28.
• Kanpur: An alert has been issued for heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.
