News India Live, Digital Desk: Once again there is going to be a big change in the weather of the country. The new ‘Western Disturbance’ becoming active in the mountains has increased the concern of the Meteorological Department. Its direct impact is going to be on the plains of entire North India including Delhi-NCR. If you are planning to go out somewhere in the next few days, then be careful, because nature is going to change its mood.
Double attack of snowfall in the mountains and rain in the plains.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a fresh western disturbance is hitting the Himalayan regions. Due to its impact, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, cold winds coming from the mountains can cause thunderstorms in some parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?
Light mist and fog may be seen in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas (Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram) in the morning. The Meteorological Department has indicated that a drop in temperature will be recorded due to the movement of clouds, due to which the chill may increase once again. Amidst the hide and seek of sunshine, cold winds can bother people.
‘Yellow alert’ issued in these states
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for many states of North-West India. Light rain has also been expected in western parts of Uttar Pradesh within the coming 24 to 48 hours. Farmers have been advised to take care of their prepared crops, as sudden hailstorm can damage the crops.
When will we get relief from cold?
Although the month of February brings the sound of spring, this year the repeatedly active Western Disturbances have prevented the cold from going away. Experts believe that after this spell of rain, the sky will be clear once again and the temperature will gradually start increasing.
