Ranchi: The weather is changing rapidly in Jharkhand. Winter may begin in entire Jharkhand including the capital Ranchi from Tuesday. It has started from Monday itself. Fog will increase in the morning and light clouds may also appear. There may be a drop in maximum temperature. Gradually the cold in the state will now move towards its extreme.

According to the Meteorological Department, this change in the weather will come due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, the effect of which can be seen in the states of South India. Due to its effect in Jharkhand too, there will be light cloud cover and cold winds coming from the south-west will increase the cold. It may remain cloudy across the state for the next three days i.e. till November 28. The cold will increase further after the clouds clear.
There was fog in various areas of the state including Ranchi on Sunday. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in most of the districts of the state is about one degree less than normal. The minimum temperatures are close to normal. Jamshedpur recorded a maximum of 28.0 degrees and Medininagar 27.8 degrees. Pakur and Seraikela had the highest maximum of 28.9 degrees in the state. The minimum temperature is expected to reach eight to nine degrees.
