Weather will worsen in Bihar, chances of storm and rain in 10 districts

The Meteorological Department has predicted that bad weather will continue in many areas in the coming hours. People have been advised to remain alert especially in East Bihar, Kosi, Seemanchal and Mithila regions.

Orange alert issued in 10 districts

Patna-based Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert regarding storm, rain and thunderstorm in 10 districts of the state. The districts where warning has been issued include Araria, Katihar, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Purnia, Madhepura, Munger, Saharsa and Supaul. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain with strong winds in these areas. The wind speed is expected to reach around 60 kilometers per hour.

The Meteorological Department has warned that lightning may occur in many areas. People have been appealed not to be in open places during bad weather and to stay in safe places. Farmers and people living in rural areas have been advised to exercise special caution.

Alert in Gaya and Nawada

The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert in Gaya and Nawada districts of the state. There is a possibility of thunderstorm, strong wind and light to moderate rain in many blocks of Gaya district. Similarly, in many areas of Nawada district, there are indications that the weather will worsen by evening. The local administration has been instructed to remain alert.

Heavy rain occurred in many districts

Good rainfall was recorded in many districts of Bihar during the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 135.2 mm was recorded in Dagrua area of ​​Purnia district. The impact of heavy rain and storm was seen in many areas including Katihar, Kishanganj, Madhepura and Araria. Apart from this, the effect of weather was also visible in many districts including Supaul, Banka, Madhubani, Samastipur, Saharsa, Khagaria, Begusarai and Bhagalpur.
