Weight Loss with White Rice

” I lost 20kg without giving up rice. The truth is, rice isn’t the problem. Often, what we pair it with or how much we consume can lead to issues,” Negi wrote in her post.  She shared tips to eat white rice the right way.

Tips to consume white rice for weight loss

  • Be mindful of your portions. A serving size of about half a cup of cooked rice is a good start.
  • Combine rice with high-fiber vegetables and lean proteins to create a well-rounded meal. This helps you stay satisfied and supports your weight loss efforts. Add a bowl of salad for fiber and dal for protein.
  • Pay attention to your body’s hunger and fullness signals. Eat slowly and savor each bite, so you’re more in tune with when you’re satisfied.
  • Drinking water 30 minutes before a meal to feel fuller and reduce the urge to overeat.

While this approach worked for Nisha, it can be different for individuals. One must remember that weight loss journeys are subjective and work different, have different results for different people even with same approach. It is better to consult with professionals to chalk out a plan as per the body’s requirement. But one common factor is to be consistent, dedicated and always at it!
