- Fermented foods
Foods to avoid are
- Processed and fried foods.
- Refined carbs (white bread, sugar)
- Sugary beverages and sodas.
- Excessive alcohol
- Red and processed meats.
“Adopting this diet is a sustainable way to improve long-term health,” her caption read. The nutritionist also shared 3 anti-inflammatory drinks that you can drink in your daily routine. They are –
- Green tea with lemon
- Ginger, fennel and jeera seed water
- Star anise and cinnamon
She also shared few other food items for the diet:
- Turmeric: Turmeric is anti-inflammatory due to curcumin, which blocks inflammatory pathways and reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines.
- Ginger: Ginger is anti-inflammatory because it contains compounds like gingerol and shogaol, which inhibit pro-inflammatory enzymes and cytokines. It helps reduce inflammation.
- Green tea: Green tea is anti-inflammatory due to its high content of catechins, particularly EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which reduces inflammation by suppressing pro-inflammatory pathways
- Berries: Berries are anti-inflammatory because they are rich in antioxidants like anthocyanins and vitamin C, which reduce oxidative stress and inflammation.
- Seeds and nuts: Seeds and nuts are anti-inflammatory because they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and polyphenols, which help reduce inflammation in the body.
