Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on December 1, 2025, in an intimate ceremony in Coimbatore.
In a recent conversation with Vogue IndiaSamantha talked candidly about her relationship with her husband, highlighting not just romance, but deep companionship and shared routines well past what people typically call the honeymoon phase.
“That Irritating Couple” Who Do Everything Together
Samantha jokingly referred to herself and Raj as an “irritating couple”. This comment was not made in a negative sense, but because they genuinely enjoy being inseparable.
She explained that the couple works together on projects, play and relax together, and even work out together regularly, often with their trainer, Paridhi Doshi. Samantha added that even with some time apart is tough for her. She joked that if she has to travel for even a day, she immediately feels distressed, hinting that their closeness is more than just newlywed excitement.
Healing, Growth and a Strong Partnership
In the interview, Samantha also reflected on her emotional journey before this relationship. After her much-publicised separation from her former husband, she said she had “closed up completely” and found it hard to open her heart again. She credited Raj with helping her rediscover trust, love, and friendship and said she feels “a much better person because of the relationship I’m in.”
A friend’s voice note telling Samantha she seemed to be breathing easier than she had in a long time reinforced how transformative this period has been for her.

The couple’s wedding was not just intimate but also deeply traditional. They chose a yogic marriage ritual called Bhuta Shuddhi Vivahawhich symbolises a purification and union of the five elements aiming for spiritual alignment and harmony as they begin married life.
