West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: BJP released the second list of 111 candidates, know who got the ticket from where?

New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its second list of candidates for the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026. A total of 111 names are included in this list, which clearly shows that the party has now entered the electoral fray with full strength. In this list, the party has tried to create a balance of experience and new faces. Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly has also been given a chance, while Union Minister Nisith Pramanik has been made the candidate from Mathabhanga seat. Also, by including a name from the family of Suvendu Adhikari, BJP has tried to solve the organizational and local equations.

According to the press release issued by the party, this list was approved in the Central Election Committee meeting, which was chaired by Nitin Naveen. Many senior leaders including Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah were present in this meeting. Talking about the candidates, the party has fielded Dadhiram Rai from Mekliganj, Laxman Limbu from Madarihat, Naresh Chandra Rai from Dhupguri, Kaushik Rai from Maynaguri and Anant Dev Adhikari from Jalpaiguri. Apart from this, ticket has been given to Bharat Chhetri from Kalimpong and Noman Rai from Darjeeling. The party has given chances to many local faces on other seats also. Sonam Lama from Kurseong, Sabita Barman from Itahar, Ratan Das from Harishchandrapur, Raju Karmakar from Baishnavnagar and Sunil Chaudhary from Farakka have been made candidates. Shashti Charan Ghosh from Samserganj, Rana Pratap Singh Rai from Raninagar and Dilip Saha from Nabagram have also got tickets.

In this list, BJP has especially focused on those seats where the party was strong last time or where it has more chances of victory this time. Candidates have been selected keeping in mind the caste and regional equations, so that maximum number of voters can be reached.
