According to the news agency report, this incident took place on Friday in Tilmi area of ​​Jariagarh police station area. According to the police, 65-year-old businessman Haru Mukherjee, resident of West Bengal, had reached the house of his associate Vijay Oraon (40). He had come there with the aim of recruiting laborers to work in the brick kiln. Meanwhile, the accused kidnapped both of them as part of a conspiracy. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police came into action. Khunti police immediately started the search operation and within limited time, both the kidnapped people were safely freed. In this regard, Torpa Sub-Divisional Police Officer Christopher Kerketta said that six accused involved in the case have been arrested.

Police investigation has revealed that all the accused are residents of different areas of Khunti district. One four-wheeler, three motorcycles and five mobile phones have also been seized from the accused, which were used during the kidnapping and ransom demand. According to the police, the accused had kidnapped the businessman and his associate and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. However, due to timely police action, no ransom money was paid.
