West Bengal Politics: After the split in West Bengal’s legislative party, it is certain that the Trinamool Congress’s parliamentary party is also split. 20 Trinamool Congress MPs have written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding a separate arrangement in Parliament. These MPs have expressed their desire to join the NDA in their letter. Signatories to the letter include Arup Chakraborty, Partha Bhowmik, Shatabdi Roy, Jagdish Vasunia, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Prasoon Banerjee, Kalipada Soren, Sharmila Sarkar, June Malia, Vapi Halder, Asit Mal and Suvendu Shekhar Roy. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has been demanded to be recognized as the leader of the rebel group. This has created a sensation in the political circles of West Bengal.

Former Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee It has gained more importance as these developments took place at a time when he had entered Delhi for a meeting of the India Alliance. TMC Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Roy and MP Koel Mallick are reported to have resigned from the party. Apart from this, there is talk that more than 20 MPs of the party are out of touch. Sukhendu Shekhar Roy attacked TMC

Senior TMC leader Sukhendu Shekhar resigned from his Rajya Sabha post and left the party. In his resignation letter, he blamed Mamata Banerjee’s 15-year rule for the party’s defeat and praised the BJP. Rajya Sabha Speaker C. P. Radhakrishnan has accepted Sukhendu Shekhar’s resignation.

After the resignation, Sukhendu told the media, “Many people in the party were running the party arbitrarily, that’s why he resigned. Sukhendu Shekhar’s Rajya Sabha seat is from West Bengal and his tenure was till 2029. This seat has become vacant and now a by-election can be held.”

Rebel MLA Ritabrata Banerjee said, “Sukhendu’s statements are mostly correct. This is not just Sukhendu’s personal matter. I have not spoken to Sukhendu directly, but I have seen and heard his statements on TV. I agree with him. Sukhendu’s statements about the functioning of the Rajya Sabha are mostly correct. Parliament is not a place to play quizzes.”
