Batting first, West Indies scored 196 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, while chasing the target, the England team was reduced to 166 runs in 19 overs and lost the match.
Rutherford’s explosive innings changed the match
West Indies did not have a good start, but the middle order batsmen took over the innings. Sherfane Rutherford batted brilliantly and scored unbeaten 76 runs on 42 balls and took the team to a strong score. Apart from him, Shimron Hetmyer played a quick inning of 23 runs in 12 balls. Jason Holder also strengthened the team’s position by scoring 33 runs in 17 balls. Thanks to these innings, West Indies was successful in reaching a big score despite a bad start.

England’s batting remained weak
Chasing the target of 197 runs, the England team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. No batsman could play a big innings, due to which the team was limited to 166 runs. West Indies bowlers maintained the pressure and won the match.
