Pakistani squad announced for test series against West Indies, 7 changes in the team

Islamabad. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-member Pakistani squad for the two-match Test series against West Indies. The selection committee has made seven changes in the team after the clean sweep defeat against South Africa. The first test match against West Indies will be played on 17 January and the second match on 25 January in Multan.

7 changes in the team:
Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah have been rested from the Pakistan Test team for the two-Test home series against the West Indies. Besides, Aamer Jamal and Mir Hamza have also been rested by the selectors. Whereas injured Sam Ayub and out of form Abdullah Shafiq are out of the team. Whereas in place of wicketkeeper Hasibullah Khan, Rohail Nazir has been given a place in the team as the backup of Mohammad Rizwan.

The spin trio of Sajid Khan and left-arm spinner Noman Ali has returned along with Abrar Ahmed. Apart from this, opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq has returned to the team after playing on the Australia tour. Mohammad Huraira has also been brought back. Both of them will replace injured Sam Ayub and out of form Abdullah Shafiq. Apart from this, Mohammad Ali has been recalled to the team and fast bowler Kashif Ali has also been selected for the first time.
