Mumbai: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held an important meeting with directors, producers and actors from the Tollywood industry at the Telangana State Police Command and Control Center in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on December 26. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the recent stampede at Sandhya Theater and the controversies related to it. After this incident, the state government seems to be strict regarding law and order. The CM has asked to impose restrictions on some things.
Who attended the meeting?
Many veteran filmmakers, directors and artistes attended the meeting under the leadership of Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) President Dil Raju. Prominent personalities present at the meeting included Nagarjuna, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyan Ram, Adavi Shesh, Nithin, Shiv Balaji, and filmmakers Suresh Babu, BVSN Prasad and Allu Aravind. Directors Koratala Siva, Anil Ravipudi and Sai Rajesh also participated in the meeting.
CM's strict instructions on stampede
CM Reddy expressed strong displeasure over the stampede that took place during the premiere of the film 'Pushpa 2' at Sandhya Theatre. He said that there will be no compromise with law and order. He made it clear that benefit shows will not be allowed and strict action will be taken against bouncers. CM said that it is the responsibility of the stars to control their fans and avoid such incidents as much as possible.
campaign against drugs
CM Reddy handed over the responsibility of campaigning against drugs to Tollywood. Along with this, he gave the example of the International Film Festival organized during the regime of Chandrababu Naidu and said that such an event should be organized in Telangana also. Some producers present in the meeting suggested that films benefit a lot from first day shows and benefit shows.
