New Delhi: For the first time, Pakistan’s official reaction has come to light regarding the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) movement going on at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Amidst various discussions regarding this issue on social media, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry made it clear that it will not comment on this matter. Pakistan has called it a completely internal matter of India.

During the weekly press briefing, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi was asked whether the action being taken against protesters in India is a human rights issue. On this he said that this is an internal matter of India and Pakistan does not comment on such matters.

The movement reached its fifth week

CJP’s ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi has now entered its fifth week. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, reform in the examination system and action against those responsible for alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG paper leak case.

Tension increased after Parliament march

There was a clash between protesters and Delhi Police during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march organized on July 20. The protesters allege that the police used lathi charge and tear gas to stop them. At the same time, the police say that the protesters tried to break the security barricade, after which necessary steps were taken to control the situation.

Government in favor of talks

The central government says that it is ready to talk to the agitators. According to Union Minister Jitendra Singh, the government has proposed talks several times. However, CJP says that the talks should not take place in any government residence or office, but at a neutral place.

Sonam Wangchuk ends her fast

Meanwhile, social activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended her fast that lasted for more than 25 days. He said that this decision was taken in view of talks with the government and the need to maintain peace in the country.
