Earlier, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first, citing dew as the main reason behind his decision. India made two changes in its playing eleven, in which injured Akshar Patel was ruled out of the match, while Jasprit Bumrah was rested. Kuldeep came in place of his IPL captain, while Rana was included in place of Bumrah.

What did captain Suryakumar say after winning the toss?

Suryakumar explained India’s decision at the time of the toss, citing the presence of dew and the team’s desire to test themselves while chasing. The captain also confirmed the condition of the pitch, the focus on continuous improvement and two changes to the playing eleven before the match. “We will bowl first. There is already a little dew there, we have not chased in recent times, so we want to chase. I think the pitch is looking good.
